The Return of 2.5 Thousand Girl Students at Basic Education Levels to the Education Cycle

The Women’s Affairs Director General of the Education and Training Ministry said: “2.5 Thousand Girl Students at Basic Education Levels to the Education Cycle.”

Forouh Olsadat Banihashem (Women’s Affairs Advisor to the Agriculture Minister) in a sitting of the Women and Family Affairs Deputy of the Presidency with Ministers’ advisors and executive departments and the director generals of women and family affairs offices of the provincial governments across the nation in the 12th government said: “During this time, three projects were implemented for the empowerment of rural women, one of which is the promotion of entrepreneurship and development of sustainable business for rural and nomadic women.

Some of these women for whom jobs have been created received Trade Certificates and within this project training courses on entrepreneurship and skills for job creation for rural and nomadic women were held.”


In the sitting, Mahnaz Ahmadi (Director General of the Education and Training Ministry’s Women’s Affairs) said: “one of the measures that the Education and Training Ministry that has taken in President Rowhani’s government is the signing of a letter of understanding with executive bodies and other ministries, and we had joint projects too with the Women and Family Affairs Deputy of the Presidency in the years 2013 to 2016.”


Referring to the fact that these activities were to increase the education coverage for basic education level girls in deprived regions, she said: “Towards the implementation of this project two and a half thousand girls at basic education levels have returned to the education cycle.” At the end Ms. Ahmadi said: “The implementation of education of less able girls will be another one of this Ministry’s programmes.”
