On the occasion of International Refugee Day a conference entitled “Empowerment; Empowered Women; Life without Violence” was held with the presence of over 150 Afghan and Iraqi refugees by the ODVV and ILIA Charitable Institute.
In this Conference which was held on Thursday 21 June at the ILIA Charitable Institute, representatives from Relief International, the Norwegian Refugees Council, Denmark Refugees Council, the UNHCR, BAFIA, Citizen’s Affairs Bureau of Tehran Province and Afghan Embassy were present
This Conference began with the speeches of Dr. Jaleh Afshari-Monfared on the role of job creation and promotion of women’s empowerment in the reduction of violence. This was followed by an educational workshop on job creation methods and experiences by Dr. Negin Fallah, Tehran University lecturer.
